Vlado Staying in High Gear In 2015 – From Kanye To Charleston Up-and-Comers

Throughout Vlado Meller’s 40+ years in the music industry, he’s worked
with a slew of the world’s biggest stars – spanning every genre – from
Paul
McCartney, Prince, Public Enemy, and Pink Floyd to Frank Ocean, Frank
Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Metallica.

After leaving the media and entertainment hub of New York City, where he
worked for CBS Records (later Sony and Sony/BMG) from 1969 to 2007, for
the
calmer atmosphere of Charleston, South Carolina in 2014, one might assume
Vlado has slowed down his workload and decided to take a breather.

But one look at his 2015 resume proves otherwise.

This year Vlado has been working nonstop on music by superstars, unknown
artists, and everything in between. He mastered two singles from Kanye
West
(“Only One” and “All Day,” both featuring Paul McCartney) and the latest
album from Spanish singer Julio Iglesias, one of the world’s
highest-selling artists of all time, as well as metal stars Slipknot;
international sensation Susan Boyle, garage-rockers JEFF the Brotherhood,
jazz-pop multi-instrumentalist Jamie Cullum, and indie-rockers RATATAT.
It’d be tough to find many lineups more wildly diverse than that.

Besides juggling work from top-tier artists from around the world, he’s
made a point to work with established and rising acts based in and around
his new home of Charleston, including Elise Testone, Dangermuffin, Estee,
Sol Driven Train, The Shutter Dogs, and Stop Light Observations. Between
projects, he’s found time for several of his three-day, intensive
workshops
aimed to help young mastering engineers learn the art of the trade. (More
info: https://www.vladomastering.com/workshops/).

Based on the current projects that Vlado has cooking (that have to remain
under wrap for the time being) and more workshops on the horizon, there
is
much more excitement to come through the end of 2015 and into next year.
Stay tuned!
